I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1966 and moved to South Carolina when I was 3 months old with my mother, Carolyn Sue Depenbrock and my two older brothers Michael Dana and Jeffery Scott Depenbrock. My mother was pregnant with my younger brother Brian Keith Depenbrock at the time. We lived with my Grandmother, Betsy Marie Edwards and her daughter, Teresa Edwards, which is my mothers sister and my aunt.
I was raised there in Greenville, SC, where I went to school for grades 1st and 2nd and being taken care of by my Grandmother, (we call her Mammaw) while my mom worked at Sears as a hair dresser to support us 4 boys. We would come to Vegas every summer and I have a few vague memories of my father, George Oliver Depenbrock. No, they were'nt happy memories just memories. Well all except for the one I remember him most for. My father was holding me in an above ground pool and I was about 3 or 4 and he just dropped me in the water while he was having a casual conversation and didnt even bother to look down at me as i was looking up at him in terror wondering why he wouldnt reach down and save me because I truly believed I was going to die. Anyway, I think it was my mother that pulled me to safety and I never wanted anything to do with my dad ever again. (Thanks dad).
I remenber I had some cousins. I think it was 3 boys and a girl. If I remember correctly their names were Rocco, Gina, Ricco and Anthony. Im not completely sure but they were my aunt Jeannies kids. That was my dads sister. Jean Pangallo.
James H Depenbrock of Wimberley, Hays County, TX was born on October 21, 1929, and died at age 73 years old on July 15, 2003.
