Joaquin was a handsome man. He was known as Guam's one and original boxer " Chocolate Kid." He was one handsome man. Not because he was "MY Grandfather," but he really was good looking. Someone gave a picture of Grandfather Kin to my Mom . She kept the picture for a long time. Lets fast forward in time. One day, a lady came to our house and asked my sister Emily, if Mom was home. Sorry to say, Mom was out doing her errands with Dad. As the day ends, Emily informed Mom that a lady came by to see her. Emily described the lady as looking like Mom and stated she'll try and come by again. The week was ending, and the lady came to see Mom again. To our astonishment, they looked so much alike. She was just as beautiful as Mom. We know and call her, "Aunt Tilly." Her husband, Uncle Wayne, was an American. He reminded me of "Old Salty." He was somewhat like a grumpy man. They also had a son, Francis. We found out that she has an older brother, Uncle Tom. He had 2 sons Michael and Tom. Tom was a movie star in the Philippines and left to join the U.S. Air Force. Michael stayed with his mother at California. Soon we got to meet Tom Jr. when he got stationed at Guam. We got to know him while he stayed in Guam. Meanwhile, Mom had mentioned that there was another sister, Concepcion or Chong, somewhere in Bremerton, Washington. She also had children and was inviting Mom to stay with her Because our family consists of 4 girl and 3 boys plus Mom and Dad, I considered us a large family. Our family just extended. We were fortunate that our family was growing. We love having a large family. Later, a fortune teller, Tan Veronica, told Mom of a lady in Sinajana, with a last name of Pangelinan. She was another sister Tan Veronica wanted to introduce to Mom. Sadly, Tan Veronica passed and as time continues to tic, we are still seeking the lady whom has the same father, Joaquin S. Babauta, aka Guam's very own "Chocolate Kid" Our Grandfather Kin's family is known as Jeras and Min
