Was a Mechanic in WW2, and worked at the MCC railroad as a Train mechanic in Frog Town ,Jackson Michigan,Later he moved to the Dearborn Area and opened a service station , He lived in a basement for several years while getting his business off the ground where he later added the upper levels of his home . I would stay there a couple times a year to visit as I would need to catch a flight to go see my Grandmother in California. He kept a small lawn that looked like crapeting and he loved rose bushes . He kept cases of Faygo in a walk in cooler in the basement where he'd allways ask If i wanted a Rotten rye , (Rockn' Rye) I was never sure if it was his accent or if he just liked calling it that . But Id always giggle ,Apparently Machczynski men were well versed in music , He kept a variety of instrument's in his basement, from a trumpet, trombone , and accordion a piano and acoustic guitars , I was told Both Grandpa and uncle Falsh played instruments . All were traditionallly used in Polka music and I had only a couple occasions to hear them play .
