He enlisted into the military on December 18, 1942 and served in the Army until he was discharged on October 8, 1945. In 1951 John Pacenza married Grace Delores Fiore (1929-2001) in Philadelphia. They had a child together and then later separated. He also married Frances Buhrman in 1965 in New Jersey.
On August 1, 2006, John Pacenza passed away in Cherry Hill, Camden, New Jersey, USA.
