John was my step father but in reality my "real Dad". He was a wonderful father and husband to my mother Mary Reiter Pomphrey. John's passions were first his family, and then Opera. He was a Basso Cantanta. He was devoted to his beloved Frisco Railroad for which he worked for 45 years after merging the company with Burlington Northern. John was also a wonderful son to his parents Thomas Sr and Nellie Pomphrey. John was also a very devout Catholic and had true faith in God. He loved a good game of golf and always could debate any subject stauch in his beliefs and pretty much was "always right". I his only son Aloysius along with his grandchildren Chumley Mosier Reiter and his beautiful granddaughter Artemis Pomphrey Reiter miss him and love him everyday. We know he is heaven with my beloved mother Mary or known by her grand children as Grand Mare. We love you both dearly ..As Always
