Giuseppe "Joseph" Petriella was born on October 3rd, 1903 in Colle Sannita, Italy, to Gennaro Maria Petriella (1853 - 1926) and Angela Franza (1866 - 1920). Both of his parents were born in Italy. He had five siblings: Salvatore, Maria, Antonio, Filomena, and Vito; and two half-siblings: Francesco Petriella, born 1876 and Maria Petriella, born 1882. NOTE: Joseph's birth has been variously recorded in records as October 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, 1903.
Joseph Petriella married Anna Concetta Galasso (1908 - 1976) on August 2, 1926 in Elkhart, Indiana, and they had six children, including: Gennarino, Anthony, Angelo, Italo, Eugene, and one more daughter.
After the death of his first wife, Anna, Joseph, age 76, married Medina Maria Calabrese, age 55, on November 1st, 1979. Joseph and Maria divorced on March 23rd, 1981. He then married Maria M. Calabrese again on March 19, 1984. They divorced on April 15th, 1987.
Joseph died at the age of 97 in Cleveland, Ohio, and is buried in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Geauga County, Ohio.
Joseph M Petriella of Princeton, Collin County, TX was born on August 13, 1940, and died at age 53 years old on November 4, 1993.
Joseph Petriella of West Orange, Essex County, NJ was born on September 4, 1908, and died at age 77 years old in October 1985.
