People named Julius Heinze

Julius is the grandfather to my husband Patrick Heinze. He was married to Marie Kunze and together they adopted a young boy, Edwin James Heinze. Julius and Marie divorced. Edwin married Dorothy Ann Beckstrom on Dec 28, 1949. Julius was blessed with 7 grandchildren from this union. Grandchildren are Kathy Russel, Robert Heinze, John Heinze, Patrick Heinze, Suzi Lugo, James Heinze and Bill Heinze. Julius lost a leg in a farm accident. His prosthesis was a wooden leg. Julius’ last vehicle was a 1949 Ford pickup, which was equipped with a hand clutch. The pickup is still in the family with thoughts of getting it running for the Heinze / Kunze Family Reunion to take place in 2018. In his later years Julius resided at the Char Mac Hotel in Valley City. He got a new wheelchair which he called his “Cadillac”! He was very proud of it. At the time of his death Julius had four grandchildren: Michelle Heinze, Mike Lund, Julie Lund and Scott Heinze. Julius gave photo frames from old alarm clocks that he made to a number of his family members with their picture mounted inside. When he passed away he had a head full of beautiful wavy thick hair, and so did his brother Joe. Some of his siblings besides Joe Heinze were brothers Matt and Pete and sister Helen Kunze.

Julius Heinze of Oriska, Barnes County, North Dakota was born on August 29, 1897, and died at age 84 years old in June 1982.
