2 Levoid Godwin Biographies

Levoid Khiri (Akeem) Godwin II was born on May 25, 1990 in Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan United States. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Levoid Khiri (Akeem) Godwin II.
Was a very tough, no b.s. type of man, a very intelligent man; who believed in working 3+ jobs to provide for his wife and children, this also ended up being his demise, for he worked all the way up until two years before his death, until the establishment forced him to retire. He was 4'8 in height, but had the spirit of a giant, not afraid to fend for himself or his family. Many women loved and admired him, for he was a very handsome fellow who was quite the ladies man, prior to his marriage with Lillian Godwin. in 1951, after returning from World War 2, he was shot in the chest with a shot gun that nearly took his life. As he stated to his son, "Roy Lee Godwin", the racial relationship at that time in Dothan Alabama was very sever. A top Caucasian doctor received Levoid Godwin on a stretcher, the doctor ordered for the nurses to sit the severely injured Levoid Godwin to the corner to die. A young Caucasian md who was also just returning from WWII, who at the time was only a nurse, said "but sir, I've treated many wombs like this in the war, I can save this man", The head doctor in charge replied "If you want to play with the monkeys than you go ahead, I ain't got time to be trying to rescue no N***er". The young Md, who would later become a doctor off of his courage's act, took one nurse, and Levoid Godwin senior into a janitorial closet; where he subsequently saved Levoid's life. He never knew his father, although he knew who his father was, he didn't think that their was any reason to mention him at all; for his father didn't leave much of an impression on him; prior to being laid across a rail road track for his body to be crushed(Murdered) when Levoid was 3 years of age. Lillian Godwin, his wife, would escort him to work every day; for it was known, that a white man would not attack a black man unprovoked if he in fact had his wife walking along side him. At one point of time it was widely acknowledged among the community that he and another guy was one of the only black fathers in a neighborhood of 14 black households; to stay and raise a family. In his ending days, he became ill with a swollen heart from years of lifting heavy materials. He also had gain green in his legs; which were reduced to nubbed limbs; due to the preventive surgery he took to end the fast spread of the gain green. In 1969, He and his wife relocated to Detroit Michigan in search of a better life. Levoid Godwin passed a way a mystery, for there isn't much that his own family knew of his story, for he was a very private individual, but he was well loved and respected for not only taking care of his family, but always trying to provide money to anyone who was in need of it.
