He had children Emma Hafer, Alvin Julius Hafer, Willie Robert Adolph Hafer, Clarence Willie Henry Hafer, and Olin H Hafer. Louis Hafer was buried at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
