From the Faribault Daily News, Nov. 12, 1970: Funeral services for Lucy H. Petersmeyer were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Methodist Church in Nerstrand with the Rev. Frank Harcey officiating. Mrs. Walter Musehl and John Kispert, a duet, sang two vocal selections accompanied by Benjamin Rehnke at the organ. Louis von Wald, Clifford von Wald, Peter Rodosovich, Alvin Hildebrandt, Larry Petersmeyer and Neil Heggedahl served as pall bearers. Interment took place at the Methodist Cemetery at Nerstrand. Lucy Henrietta Petersmeyer passed away at the Saint Lucas Geriatric Care Center in Faribault, on October 22, at the age of 87 years. The daughter of Adam and Mary Roth, she was born in Rice County, on September 5, 1883. She was confirmed at the Methodist Church of which she was a life long member and active in all church activities. She was church organist and a Sunday School teacher for many years. often rendered vocal selections at funerals and church gatherings and was the first person to become a member of the Missionary Society when it was started in 1900. May 17, 1905, she was united in marriage to Fred Petersmeyer who preceded her in death on August 6, 1933. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ella, on November 7, 1926, and one son Joyce, on June 3, 1949. She is survived by one twin brother, Louis Roth a resident of the Kenyon Sunset home, and another brother Edwin Roth residing at the Northfield Retirement Center.
