Housh and living with Grover and his mother Anna Housh, age 65, in Eldon Iowa. She stated that she was 16 when she first married. They owned their home, worth almost $24,000 in 2021 dollars. Mabel wasn't working and Grover drove truck. In the 1940 census, Mabel, age 50, was living with her husband Grover, age 52, in Lenox NY. She stated that she was born in Iowa. He was the supervisor at the state school (Lake Colony Rome State School) and Mabel was the matron.

Mabel J Housh of Yucca Valley, San Bernardino County, CA was born on May 12, 1909, and died at age 88 years old on September 24, 1997.
