Marion Carter McNabb was born on November 11th, 1902 in Fenton, Louisiana, to Tennessee Plutarch McNabb (1857 - 1915) and Emily Cramford (1881 - 1965). His father was born in Missouri and his mother was born in Louisiana. He had siblings Walter, Ray, Charlie, and Mary.
Marion C. McNabb married Sadie Lillian McNatt (1908 - 1999) in about January of 1924. They had sons Thomas Barcus "Dickey" McNabb (1928 - 1959), Marion McNabb, Jr., Carlton Ray McNabb, and Venesta Wayne McNabb; and daughters Patricia Gayle and Sheila McNabb.
A former police officer, Marion died at the age of 63 in Fenton, Louisiana and he is buried in Indian Village Cemetery in Kinder,
