He married Estelle Zelda Blanc on January 4, 1933 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA, and they were married until Melvin's death on July 10, 1989 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Records Office 8700 Beverly Blvd., in Los Angeles. He had a child Noel Barton Blanc. Melvin Blanc was buried on July 14, 1989 at Hollywood Forever Cemetery 6000 Santa Monica Blvd, in Los Angeles.
