Paul Slish was born to John & Mary Slish in Europe, exact location unknown but was in Austria/Slovakia area. His parents and sister Mary came to this country in the early 1900s. Paul and his brother George came to the country separately and eventually settled in Freeland, Luzerne County with the family. Paul married Catherine Harville/Hawilla (1925) and settled in Beaver Meadows, Carbon County, Pa.On July 22, 1927 Mary (mother)died from what was basically Kidney failure in Freeland. .She was buried in what was then St Mary's Cemetery, Freeland if death certificate is correct. Daughter Mary listed as informant on Pa. death certificate. Mary (Paus sister) eventually married Michael Plouchak and moved to Bethlehem (Northampton County) for economic reasons. During the 1930 Census John was still living in Freeland but during the 1930's his daughter Mary (slish) Plouchak brought him to Bethlehem to live with her family. John Slish died april 6, 1945 in Bethlehem and is buried in Hellertown Union Cemetery. Pauls sister Mary who divorced Michael Plouchak and then married Paul Razwion. Paul Died in 1950 and she married Peter Novak. Mary died January 28, 1969 is buried in Hellertown Union Cemetery. Little is known of George Slish but its believed he eventually moved to the Chicago area with wife Mary.
Paul A Slish of Canton, Stark County, Ohio was born on September 3, 1934, and died at age 73 years old on February 28, 2008.
Paul Slish of Forest City, Susquehanna County, PA was born on March 17, 1903, and died at age 74 years old in September 1977.
