Philip Shadroui was the greatest person I ever knew, he was more than kind,gentle,caring,polite,considerate,and lived a modest queit life. He loved to go fishing with friends and when the fish didn't bite he would get a frustrated face on. He loved to smoke his camel cigarettes and with no filter. He would always have his lighter ready in his pocket. He also would wear a staw gentlemans hat with his green work clothes. He loved his garden and would kill and package his own lamb. He was from lebanon and was a great example to all he met. He never drove a car because everyone would be looking out for him and would call on him. If he was with another friend he would gently whisper that he could't leave their side to go with another friend and that would make that friend ask to take the other friend along for the ride. He would never leave anyone behind. I knew this because he was not only my grandfather but my friend too. I was the friend he was explaing about the reason he couldn't go with another friend, so they included me in the drive of the car. I will always miss him dearly. His last living words to me was I have to go to the hospital and everything will be ok when he gets back, and he died during the operation.

Philip Shadroui of Vermont was born on July 15, 1892, and died at age 70 years old in October 1962.
