She had siblings Armand Laurie Joseph Lacenaire, Theophile Joseph Lacenaire, Marie Lacenarie, Bella Marie (Lacenaire) Goguen, Charles Joseph Albert Lacenaire, Diana LeBlanc, Edna Marie (Lacenaire) LeBlanc, Lina Marie (Lacenaire) Cormier, and Joseph Marie Albini Lacenarie. Rita was baptized at Bouctouche New Brunswick , Canada. She married Ovila Joseph Girouard on September 21, 1943, and they were married until death separated them. She had children Romeo Girouard, Joseph Girouard, Raymond Joseph Girouard, and Bernard Joseph Girouard.
