Robert Lewis Ayles was born on April 9, 1920 in Los Angles, California to parents Lewis Deverel Ayles (1890-1956) and Lorraine Frances Handyside (1896-1988). He had siblings Barbara Lorraine (born 1917), John Arthur (1918-2000), and William Handyside Ayles (1922-1943).
He lived in Ontario, San Bernardino, California, United States and was married to Barbara Ayles. They had a daughter, Anne Grant.
Robert served as a Colonel of the US Air Force for 30 years and also served as the president of the Albuquerque Better Business Bureau.
Robert Donaldson Evans Ayles was born on July 19, 1909 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. His biological parents were Henry J Evans Jr (born 1883) and Mary Evans.
His father Henry was married to Helen Irene Ayles (1888-1957) who was Robert's step mother. He had a biological brother, Robert Evans and half siblings/steps siblings Mildred L Evans (1909-1965) and William Grant Ayles Jr (1926-1988). Robert was then adopted by William Grant Ayles Sr (1895-1970) when he married his step mother Helen Irene Ayles.
On June 17, 1940 he married Marie Theresa Potolicchio (1918-2008) in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. A few years later he enlisted in the US Military on March 7, 1944.
