Robert's parents were Fred and Elvira Kuenzle. In the 1950 federal census, Robert was 19 and living with his parents and brother Fred, age 22, in St Louis Missouri. Robert was working as a bottler in a brewery, as was his brother Fred. Dad Fred was an assembler in a shoe factory. Robert was in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a corporal. He enlisted on May 20, 1949 and his service ended on May 9, 1952. Robert married Ellen F. Goodner in about 1953. They were married for 50 years when he died. Their children were Robert A Jr, and David. Robert was buried as a veteran in a military cemetery - Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. His headstone says "Dear Husband Father Grandpa" Robert's death was listed as "natural" by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
