Bob was born as the second child of Frank and Grace (Sladek) Machacek on March 11, 1944. He lived in Hammond, IN until June of 1950, then the family moved to Crown Point, IN. Bob attended Kindergarten at Woodrow Wilson elementary school in Hammond, then attended 1st through 6th grade at South Ward elementary school, 7th & 8th grade at Crown Point Junior High school, and graduated from Crown Point High School in May of 1962. Bob joined the Air Force in August of 1962 and after serving a four year hitch, he was discharged in August of 1966. He had his training at Amarillo AFB, TX and his primary duty in the Air Force was as an aircraft mechanic. The primary plane he was assigned to was an RB-66 Recon Bomber. He was stationed at Shaw AFB, SC and had a few TDY assignments over to Thailand and Vietnam. When he got out of the Air Force, he moved to Bay Area of CA where he got a job as an aircraft mechanic.

Robert C Machacek of Omaha, Douglas County, NE was born on November 7, 1927, and died at age 78 years old on December 3, 2005.

Robert Machacek of Stone Lake, Sawyer County, Wisconsin was born on June 7, 1904, and died at age 79 years old in July 1983.
