Robert married Emma Blyth in 187 in Norfolk, England, and they had eleven children, all born in England: Frederick, Edith, William, Ellen, Ethel, James, Charles, Alice, Lily, Albert, and Ambrose. Robert died at the age of 66 in Walsingham, England.
