I never met Roger Skutt but for many years he was a penpal and online contact. Roger was a very intelligent man, with considerable mathematical and scientific ability. He was, however, bedeviled by the consequences of his priorities. Roger was obsessed with political and social causes, to the detriment of his personal well-being. He eschewed employment in the naive belief he could lead a great revolution of the poor against the rich. In addition, he had fanciful and far fetched ideas. Not surprisingly, Roger died in poverty and obscurity.
Roger W Skutt of Marshall, Calhoun County, MI was born on August 31, 1917, and died at age 82 years old on July 7, 2000. Roger Skutt was buried at Ft. Custer National Cemetery
