Her married name was on an 1851 ship manifest that described a family: Mary Ann Maurice (probably variant of Morris) and son, Alexander, and daughter Mary J(ane). IMMIGRATION Samuel Morris' name was not on the same ship manifest in any variant in 1851. He probably left Ireland before or after his wife's and children's emigration in 1851. RESIDENCE A Samuel Morris (age 52) resided with an Alexander (age 16) in Wisconsin in 1860 according to the Census that year. DEATH Samuel Morris's wife probably died before 1860, because she was not reported in Census 1860. Samuel Morris's daughter, Mary Jane, age 14 in 1860, may have married or begun employment as a servant somewhere in the USA.
