Hello, my name is Shannon and I would like to leave a small tribute for Scott. I believe I was the last person to see him before he passed away in a car accident and have been searching for an obituary for many years. Thank you for your website... this has been the closest glimmer of hope I have found in finding the correct Scott Overby. If anyone else searches for him, maybe they can catch a smile remembering him and find some consolation knowing how much he has always meant to me. Scott was a bright soul! He was outgoing and kind. He loved modifying cars and subwoofer stereo systems (the up-and-coming thing at the time) and visits to the fishing pier in Brunswick. He was quick witted and engaging with people. He influenced my style and taste tremendously, and was in fact the first person to introduce me to the power and beauty of rap. I've had subs in every one of my cars and Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz' Bia Bia album will forever be my favorite to play on them, all because of Scott (no, I will not outgrow these things :)). I saw my first ever shooting star with Scott. I remember waiting for his phone call for months in confusion before I learned of his passing. I never did recover. My heart will forever be with his family. I think of his smile and spirit often still, 20 years later. Scott, your earthly presence has been deeply missed, through all of the growing pains you didn't get to conquer. May God show your precious face when I find my way home.
