6 Sherman Talley Biographies

Sherman Talley was born to Esther Talley. He had siblings Catherine, Ottaway, Claude, Cynthia, May Ella, and Estelle Talley. Sherman was a star high school athlete who was paralyzed in a 1971 football game. He was injured when trying to make a tackle in a game, losing the use of his arms and legs. He eventually died of his injuries on Saturday, September 4, 1993. He had moved to the Garden State Rehabilitation Center in around 1980. Sherman had regained partial use of his left arm in rehabilitation and he learned to use a typewriter and to paint by holding a brush with his teeth. He was later enrolled at Raritan Valley Community College, where he took computer classes. He was predeceased by his sister Catherine, who died in 1976.
