My mom was a person who enjoyed having "FUN". She loved to laugh and to do silly things, such as..wearing a cat costume (that she made) and going out on Halloween .... trick or treating at her neighbor's homes. They never knew it was her. She would come home laughing so hard....telling us the remarks our neighbors made...such as...these kids are getting bigger and bigger and too old to be here. She was around 40 yrs. She loved going to Lake Michigan and the different beaches. Besides the clubs that she belonged to she enjoyed going for walks, swiming, ice skating, dancing, traveling...just being active and having fun. She had 3 children...me..Pat (now Hillery) Tom and Gloria. She had 5 grandchildren that she enjoyed spending time with....Kierstin, Jeff, Erik, Lisa and Chris. She died before she had any great grand children. She looked much younger than she was....and was not ready to die. Her parents were James and Florence Prendergast. Her sisters were Dorothy and Jean and her brother was James. She was very close to her family. We all got together for Every type of holiday and also at other times. She lived in Grand Rapids during her teen years. Her mother also died from breast cancer. My Mom is GREATLY MISSED by all who knew her.
