Steven Harlow Sidney Stearns was born on January 21, 1911 in Ingham, Michigan to parents Sidney Egbert Stearns (1869-1948) and Caddie May Day (born 1875). He had a half sister Edna C Stearns (1895-1919). He lived in Lansing, Michigan, USA and was married a few times. He first married Evelyn Grace Dowling (1912-2000) in Lansing on December 31, 1932. They had a daughter together Sue Sharen "Suzy" Stearns (1933-1994). They lived in Detroit and later divorced on October 14, 1936. Steven then married Eunice F Ward (born 1915) on March 10, 1939 in Angola, Steuben, Indiana, USA. They had a daughter together and divorced a few years later on September 6, 1941. He lastly married Iris Yvonne Kunkel (1924-2008) on March 21, 1943 in Jackson, Kansas City, Missouri, USA. They also had a daughter together. Steven Stearns served in the Army as a 1st lieutenant from April 30, 1942 until November 30, 1950. He is a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
