She was My Great Grand Mother I never Knew her but wished I had it was my Daddy's William Edgar ( Unk ) Rhoades Grand Mother it was Grand maws Artie Emily (West ) Mother . Grand maw was the Apple of my eye She was the most precious Lady and Grand Mother anyone could ever want . she alwys worn rubber boot a size to big for her an apron and she had chickens down a little ways from her house and you could hear her walking in the boots all the way to the chicken pens . omg i remember we would have the best breakfast at grand maws Bacon, eggs , home made Biscuits ,butter and Gravy and Jelly. she would fry her Bacon and wipe her Biscuit in the grease . we were called by our names but if she ever called the boys little young buck we knew there was trouble coming . i never remember her wiping any of us she didn't have to . we loved our Grand maw the kids all call her Aunt Art. Most of them loved her but one that i know of but she don't like her self she is not a people person. Uncle Thad was Pa paw Mack Brother him and Grand Shared a home together maw and he help raise Daddy and Aunt Gillis when Paw paw went to the San Antonio State Hospital where he died of T.B. we never knew him wish i had . Our Daddy was only 14 years old when he died I think it was.
