Wayne Willard Southwick was born to Willard O. Southwick (1872 - 1952) and Louella Corrine Hough (1875 - 1974). His father was born in Missouri and his mother was born in Ohio. Wayne had siblings Forrest Clinton (1898 - 1962), Helen Florence "Floe" (1907 - 1995), Mary Elizabeth (1909 - 2004), and Alice Bessie Southwick (1909 - 1932). Wayne Southwick married Hallie Pearl Yearout (1899 - 1990) on August 12, 1920, in Harper, Kansas, and they had two children: Dewey Southwick (1921 - 1999) and Opal Evelyn Southwick (1924 - 2007).
