Ada Evangeline MAHER
I have an old studio photograph of Ada SIMERAL which was taken at the Drake Bros. Studio in Silverton, OR. The photograph is dated 25 Dec 1911 and was gifted to Mrs. BRANDON with wishes of Merry Christmas. Ada appears in a nurse’s uniform in the photograph and appears to be in her 20's or 30's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Ada and her family:
Ada Evangeline SIMERAL was b. Jul 1884 in Oregon to parents Francis “Frank” Adelbert SIMERAL (1858-1924) and Elsie or Elise Samantha RICHES (1860-1940) who were married 20 Feb 1881 in Marion County, OR. Ada was one of 7 children born to this couple including Verna Marie; Ada Evangeline; Wayne Tecumber; Frank Richard or Riches; Manley Gilbert or Guibet; Elsie Alice; and Velma SIMERAL, all born between 1881 and 1900. Ada married James Burrell MAHER (1884-1943) on 7 Sept 1913 in Silverton, OR and she died on 4 Jun 1928 in Portland, OR and was buried in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Portland, OR.
