She married Albert Oliver Box, and died at age 72 years old on January 29, 1962 at Chelsea Hospital in Melbourne, Melbourne City County, VIC Australia. Ada Box was buried at Frankston Memorial Park 63 Cranbourne Rd, in Frankston, Frankston City County.

Called the "Unassigned Lands," part or all of 6 counties in Oklahoma were up for grabs. By the end of the day, Oklahoma City and Guthrie were created - each with about 10,000 inhabitants.

In 1894, at the age of only 5 years old, Ada was alive when large reserves of oil were discovered on the Osage Indian reservation in Oklahoma. Previously thought to be "useless" land - not even good for farming - the tribe had bought the land themselves. The discovery of oil made the Osage the "richest group of people in the world" at the time.
