Boer War Africa and WW1 Beersheba, Palestine. The Argus, Melbourne. 12 May 1928. NEWELL - CHETTLE. On the 14th April, 1928, at St. Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne, by the precentor ( Rev. R. Sherwood ), Albert Henry, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Newell, St. Kilda, to Elizabeth S. ( Dot ), only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Smye, Bairnsdale.

(Palestine) eldest son of the late Andrew and Frances C. Newell, loving husband of Elizabeth (Dot) and fond father of Eva. Aged 64 years. NEWELL.-On the 3rd April, Albert H. Newell, of 23 Wanalta road, Carnegie, late 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles,South Africa, and 4th Light Horse, A.I.F.- deeply regretted by all old comrades.
