He married Adeline Adele Volling, and had a child Ross Alexander Volling. Alexander Volling died at age 69 years old on July 23, 1978, and was buried at Maryborough Garden of Rest Lawn Cemetery in Maryborough West, Fraser Coast Regional County, QLD Australia.
