Alfred Herbert Newsham was born on May 7, 1867 in Redfern, New South Wales Australia to John Newsham and Dorcas (Burke), and had siblings Alice Dorcas (Newsham), Emma Augusta (Newsham), Helena Frances Newsham, John Edmund Burke Newsham, Arthur Henry Newsham, Sydney Alexander Newsham, Frederick Harold Newsham, Florence Edith Newsham, and Charles Ernest Newsham. He married Jane (Cook) on June 13, 1889, and had children Gwendoline Annie Newsham and Frank Selby Newsham. Alfred Newsham died at age 71 years old on May 13, 1938 in Hornsby, NSW.
