Alfred Paul Legros of Tucson, Arizona United States was born on June 6, 1921 to Alex Legros and Emma Lechene Legros. He had siblings Alex Legros, George Legros, Blanche Legros, Mary (Legros) Hamm, and Jules Legros. He married Mercie Larue (Nagle) Legros, and they were married until Alfred's death on September 8, 1988. Alfred Legros was buried circa September 11, 1988 at South Lawn Cemetery 5401 S Park Ave, in Tucson, Pima County.

    Alfred Paul Legros was born in Cambria County PA and lived in Hastings PA. Alfred served in the United States Army and was in WWII. Alfred was the son of Alexander John Legros Sr, born in France and Emma Lechene Legros, of French descent, but born in the United States. He had five siblings, George Legros, Alex Legros, Mary Legros Hamm, Jules Legros and Blanche Legros (Who died of a mastoid ear infection as an infant).

    Alfred loved to travel. He was born in PA, and moved West in the early 1950's, then moved back to PA, NY, and back to CA. He moved to Tucson, AZ in 1968 where he built a home, retired, and spent his remaining days with his wife Mercie. He passed away in September of 1988.

    Alfred served in the United States Army and fought in World WarII.
  • Professional Career

    Alfred was multi talented and early on worked in his Uncle's store in Hastings, joined the U.S. Army and worked as a baker before the war broke out. After the war he worked as a Pennsylvania coal miner, then began his own junkyard where he and his brother Alex disassembled cars because of the shortage of metal after WWII, they were kept very busy. He then moved to AZ where he worked for Estes Homes, TG&E, and then went into the aerospace industry. Alfred was a top sheet metal specialist working for several companies including Sylvania. Al retired from Hughes Aircraft around 1984. He was a very talented man.
  • Personal Life & Family

    Alfred was always busy. He enjoyed building projects, which included building a home, a garage/workshop, porches, carport and many other projects. He kept his home in pristine order. He loved woodworking and carpentry, building bookcases, china cabinets, gun cabinets and beautiful wall hanging plaques as well as doll houses and firehouses for his grandchildren. He enjoyed restoring old cars, fishing, hunting, traveling and camping. He was busy with his family and always there to lend a hand. He was a loving father, uncle, brother, grandfather and wonderful husband to his wife of 43 years.
