Alice H Pickett 1916 - 2003

Alice DeLeon (Harris) Pickett of Oxford, Granville County, NC was born on September 4, 1916 to Rev. Joseph Cephas Harris Sr. and Minnie Irene (Smith) Harris. She had siblings Bessie Thurston, Annie Brown, Raymond Harris, Queen Harris Garnes, and Joseph Cephas Harris Jr. Alice was baptized at Baptist, AME. She married Benjamin Franklin Pickett on March 28, 1943, and they were married until Benjamin's death on April 19, 1985. She had children Gloria Pickett McNeill and Hope (Pickett) Lee. Alice Pickett died at age 86 years old on April 14, 2003.
