    Mrs. Allie Dilley, 27, died at a local hospital, yesterday, of typhoid fever and spinal meningitis, following an illness of nearly three weeks. She leaves her husband, George Dilley, and four children. The body was taken to Carbondale yesterday and funeral services are held there today. --The Charleston Daily Mail (Charleston, WV) Aug. 30, 1918 George C. Dilley & Allie P. Demoss were married Jan. 28, 1912, in Braxton County, WV. After Allie's death, George married Eliza Ann Devaughn on April 30, 1923, in Gilmer, WV. In the 1930 census their household consisted of: George C. Dilley (52) Eliza A Dilley (42) Evert H. Dilley (17) Allie's son with George John W. Dilley (15) Allie's son with George Anna M. Dilley (12) Allie's daughter with George Audra Dilley (5) George & Eliza's daughter Daisy L. Devaughn (15) step-daughter to George C. Hazel P. Devaughn (11) step-daughter to George C. George & Allie had a 4th child, but I believe he/she was the oldest & was out of the home by this time. George & family were living in Glenville, Gilmer Cty, WV at this time where he worked in a coal mine. In the 1910 census Allie was 19 & is listed as a step-daughter to James M. Brown. They lived in Birch, Braxton County, WV: James M. Brown (43) Amanda E. Demoss Brown (43) Lanta E. Brown (20) (Actual name: Lanty Edward Brown) son to James Fred C. Brown (15) (Fred Charley Brown) son to James Columbus W. Brown (13) (Columbus Washington Brown) son to James Leonard A. Brown (3) James & Amanda's son Allie P. Demoss (19) daughter of Amanda Lulie B. Demoss (17) (Lula Belle Demoss) daughter of Amanda Allie's Father: Henry Lee Jackson Demoss (Unknown Burial Location) Allie's Mother: Amanda Emma Martin Demoss married James M. Brown on Apr. 16, 1904 in Braxton County, WV. He was previously married to Margaret Keener on March 28, 1889 in Lancaster County, VA. Two of her siblings: Theodore Spurgeon Demoss Elizabeth Jane Demoss Barker
