    Margaret Josephine Davis hailed from the prestigious Davis and Nolan families who settled Tennessee. She was the daughter of James C. Davis and Emily Josephine Nolan. Her mother's family being founders of Nolansville, Tennessee. She married Civil War soldier Silas Christopher DeMoss who also hailed from old American settler and Colonial/Revolutionary War ancestry of the DuMas/DeMoss and Virginia Rural Plains Sheltons. Silas' family were the founders of Bellevue, TN. When Margaret Davis was born about 1855 in Tennessee, her father, John, was 30 and her mother, Emily, was 19. She married Silas Christopher DeMoss and they had 11 children together between 1870 and 1894. She then had two children from another relationship between 1874 and 1879. She died on March 27, 1927, in Davidson, Tennessee, at the age of 72.

I guess if I had read the next picture down I would have found out who the husband of Margaret was. Dah! I apologize for that. I looked in my book of DeMoss's and I didn't find his name listed but I am sure that somehow they are related to each other, it is finding out how they are and where they came from.
Again, you are welcome to contact me and I will give you as much info as I have and somehow between the two of us there is a possible connection.
