Father of Ronald D., Earnest E., Ruth Irene, Helen Margaret, Harold E., James Albert, John Wilbur, William Henry and Alpha Phegley, Jr. OBITUARY: Services Scheduled For Alvan Phegley, Sr. Alpha Alvan Phegley Sr., 67, of Switz City R. 1, died at 2:10 a.m. today at the Freeman-Greene County Hospital. Mr. Phegley was born in Jackson County in 1903, the son of Albert and Mary Jane Ault Phegley. He was a member of the Shaker Prairie Christian Church near Oaktown. He is survived by his widow, Opal Pauline; one stepson, James Robbins, Bloomfield; six sons, Ernest, Linton; Harold, Vincennes, Alpha Jr., Lake Orion, Mich., Ronald, Linton, Johnny, Linton and William, Switz City; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Horn and Mrs. Helen Anderson, of Bloomfield; four brothers, Archie, Delbert, and Earl, Sullivan, and Car of Carbon; one sister, Mrs. Faye Moore, Sullivan. Services will be held at the Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Shepherd Cemetery near Oaktown.
