Amanda Beatrice Mclaughlin of Australia was born in 1871 to John Alexander Mclaughlin and Mary Jane (Spencer) Mclaughlin. She had siblings Andrew John Mclaughlin, Margaret Mclaughlin, Marion Mclaughlin, George Alexander Mclaughlin, Albert Spencer Hall Mclaughlin, Andrew John Mclaughlin, and Mary Jane Mclaughlin. Amanda Mclaughlin died at age 5 years old in 1876.
