Bonner Ross is the son of Ambrose B Ross and Rettie Ross. He grew up in Ellis, Texas, USA and had older siblings Marcia, Mattie, Clyde, Samuel, and Daisy. On September 19, 1934 he married Indiana Whitehead in Robertson, Texas, USA. They separated and he later married Annie Joe Hayer on December 16, 1943 in McLennan, Texas, USA. Ambrose Bonner Ross enlisted into the Air Corps on October 12, 1945 in Drew Field Tampa Florida as a Private First Class. He later was a Ssgt in the US Air Force in both World War II and the Korean War.
