She had siblings Ellen Taylor, Stanley Taylor, Cecil Taylor, Hilda Marion Taylor, Harold Charles Taylor, and Stuart John Taylor. She married Edgar Henry Houghton, and had children Kathleen Stella Houghton, Phyllis Vida Houghton, Evelyn Muriel Houghton, and Ronald Edgar Houghton. Amy Houghton died at age 76 years old in September 1967 in Melbourne.
