Staten Island teenager drowns in Ohrbach Lake

A Staten Island teenager who went swimming with a friend drowned 40 feet from the shore yesterday des;ite his friend's efforts to save him, police said.
Angelo Ribaudo, 17, of Richmond Ave., in Eltingville, was pronounced dead shortly after 5 p.m. at Staten Island Hospital.
Police said Ribaudo and Gene Hourican, 17, of Richmond Ave. went swimming in Ohrbach Lake, off Manor Road, Seaview, at 3 p.m. Hourican made it to a raft.
Hourican swam to shore and notified police. Eight cops went into the frigid water and recovered Ribaudo's body at 3:40 p.m.
