Anna RIPLINGER
I have in my possession an old studio photograph of Anna RIPLINGER which was taken at the C. H. HALBACH Studio in Sheboygan, WI sometime in the 1890's. Anna appears to be in her 20's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Anna and her family:
Anna “Annie” Antonia Magdalena “Toni” RIPLINGER or RIPPLINGER was born 3 Sept 1873 in Colby, WI to parents Johann or Johannes “John” Benjamin RIPLINGER or RIPPLINGER (1847-1927) and Josephine Sophie HARTMANN or HARTMAN (1851-1885) who were married in 1872 in Sheboygan Co., WI. Anna was one of three children born to this couple including Joseph; Anna “Annie”; and John Benjamin RIPPLINGER, all born between 1871 and 1876.
After her mother died her father remarried and another sibling was born, Mary Madgelena “Lena” RIPLINGER (1887-1979). Anna married Gustav August TOEPEL (1871-1953) on 7 Apr 1897 in Sheboygan, WI and they had a daughter, Lillian Helen TOEPEL DEBLACK (1906-1997). Anna died 13 Jul 1941 in Sheboygan, WI and is buried in the Wildwood Cemetery in that town.
I am hoping to locate someone from Anna’s family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
