    Anthony Paul Monteforte was born to Gloria Mary (Battaglia) Monteforte (1926-2007) and Anthony Monteforte (1926-1997). Both his mother and father had been born in New Jersey. He was the brother of Alfred Monteforte and Linda Monteforte (1958 - 2021) and he lived most of his life in New Jersey. Anthony worked for David's Kraft Food Service which provided food and basic tasks for the television show "Law & Order" in New York City. It looks as though he lived alone at the time of his death and was fond of his dog, Sasha, who was mentioned in his obituary. An episode of Law & Order "Deep Vote" was dedicated to him. The closing credits read "In Memorium: Fred Chalfy, Anthony Monteforte" A copy of Anthony's obituary is below at Anthony P Monteforte: Obituary. His obituary says the following: "Also survived by his loving dog Sasha."

Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park, NJ, on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at 9am thence to Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Fairview, where the funeral Mass will be offered at 9:45 AM. Interment at Fairview Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. - The Record (Hackensack, New Jersey) on Tuesday, April 10, 2001. Page 37.
