WHITBY. - On the 3rd February, at his residence, 3 Cowper street, Hawthorn East, Archie Charles, dearly loved husband of the late Louise Whitby, loving father of Charles, Amy, Fred, Arthur, George, Daisy ( Mrs. Hillier ), and Ruby ( Mrs. Young ). Aged 91 years. - At rest.

It is said that when it was rung, a previous crack was worsened, leading to the crack seen today.
