    Mr. Arie Griffioen, aged 83, of Grand Rapids, passed away and went to be with his Lord, Sunday, March 9, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Pearl (Ritsema); his children, Jacqueline and Clare Boss, Gracia and John DeBruin Sr., Alberdeanne and Dana Strickland; Aleda and Thomas C. VandenBosch, Gerhard and Merv Griffioen, Jane Tebben, Arie J. and Kristine Griffioen; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; four sisters, Rika Numedor, Marie Wildeman, Nell Reitsma, Martha DeZeeuw; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 pm at the southwest Protestant Reformed Church, 4875 Ivanrest SW, with Rev. Ronald Cammenga officiating. Interment Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 1311 Chicago Dr. SW, Wyoming, Monday 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Grand Rapids Press 10 Mar 1997
