    PRINCE--Augusta Dabney, an actress best known for her extensive career in daytime soap operas, died on February 4, 2008. A graduate of U. C. Berkeley, Ms. Dabney made her stage debut in ''Abe Lincoln in Illinois'' in 1938 where she met her first husband, actor Kevin McCarthy. Ms. Dabney appeared on Broadway, in regional theatre, feature films and on television. She starred in nine soap operas, including as Isabelle Alden on ''Loving'' for twelve years . She met her second husband, actor William Prince, on ''Young Dr. malone''. In the days of live television, Ms. Dabney appeared on Kraft Television Theatre and Robert Montgomery Presents. On Broadway, she starred in ''Children of a Lesser God'' and ''Seascape'' among other plays. Her film credits include ''Running on Empty'' and ''The Paper''. She is survived by three children from her first marriage: James Kevin McCarthy, Lillah McCarthy and Mary Dabney McCarthy, and four stepchildren from her second marriage: Jeremy Prince, Liza Alldredge, Nicholas Prince and Dinah Daly, and six grandchildren. The family suggests donations be made to the National MS Society.
