I met Barry while I was serving in the US Navy and stationed in Okinawa. We were stationed together at the Dispensary at the US Marine Corps Base Fatima. We became fast friends and were stationed together for about 10 months. I left Okinawa and went to Viet Nam and Barry returned back to the States. I saw Barry again when I returned home to Denver CO after my tour in Viet Nam and I was discharged from the Navy in October of 1967.

Thank you for your service and for sharing the photo of Barry and the group at Fatima Okinawa. My grandfather served in the US Navy in the Pacific and shared with me a number of memories of his time a few decades earlier during WW2. I hope over time you'll share some of your memories during your tours.
