Beatrice J. Gray, my grandmother
She was my grandmother who lived at 6910 Bennett Avenue in Chicago with my grandfather William (who created and wrote the Dick, Jane and Sally readers that were used throughout the country from the 1940s into the 1980's and he also was a professor of English at the University of Chicago who passed away in 1960). My father (who passed away during Covid in 2020 while residing in King Bruwaert was his son and his wife Gloria passed away in 2023 at the same home) lived mostly in Hinsdale with Gloria and had three sons, William IV, Richard, and Robert, and a sister named Grace. Beatrice had a sister named Angeline and she resided mainly in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
I believe she may have been born but at least lived in New Jersey for some time and met my grandfather at Columbia University and am looking for more details concerning her younger years to help me fill in gaps since she really never talked about them and never saw any pictures.
Any help I can give, please let me know.
