His father Filadelfio was born on May 4, 1873 in San Fratello, Messina, Sicilia, Italy and also immigrated to the states sometime before 1905. He passed away on September 30, 1926 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA.

He married Anna V Carroccio (1909-1988) and together they had four children together.
